We think we’ll all agree that the first lockdown was slightly easier to deal with as it was during spring and summer so we got lots of sunshine! As we enter the second week of our second lockdown this year, it’s clear that it’s definitely different this time around.
However, we are determined to stay positive and keep ourselves as busy as possible to beat the winter blues. We spoke exclusively to Clémentine MacNeice and Louise Cooney for their advice on staying positive over the next few weeks.

Stylist, Clémentine MacNeice bought her first home with her partner, Jamie earlier this year. For her, getting through lockdown 2.0 means lots of laughter and fresh air.
1.Watch something everyday that makes you laugh. James Patrice’s videos give me so much joy in the first lockdown. I’ll be watching a lot of Fr.Ted in this lockdown. It’s good to laugh!
2. Stay active. Even if it’s a small walk everyday, fresh air and some steps are so good for clearing the head.

3. Stay in touch with friends and family. Everyone is in the same boat, so let’s talk to each other, stick together and keep each other feeling positive. I video called my mum everyday in the first lockdown. Seeing her face and chatting to her always give me the lift I needed.
Louise Cooney made the decision to come home to Ireland during the first lockdown after moving to NYC last year. The influencer is happy to be back in Limerick and has lots of advice on how to stay positive during lockdown.
1.Get out for some fresh air. Make a routine of it, no exceptions. The difference movement and fresh air can have on your mood is incredible!
2. Try listen to some positive podcasts/audiobooks.
3. Make a plan for your week/day by day. Plan in things you enjoy, even if it’s just giving yourself an hour to have a coffee. Reading , writing, catching up with friends over Facetime. Having a plan and ticking things off your list can really help you feel more productive and positive.
Will you be introducing any of these tips into your own daily routines?
Once Christmas is over, it’s easy to forget that winter is not quite over yet. There are many more cold days ahead and what better way to face the next couple of months than snuggled up in a brand new coat?
A cream coat is a fantastic option as so many of us reach for dark colours like black, navy or grey. Winter is dark enough, so we’ve been eyeing up Clementine MacNeice’s stunning coat we spotted her in recently.

It’s incredibly chic and looks equally good thrown over a dress and tights as it does paired with a more laid back look like jeans and runners.
